WATF – Happy National Martini Day!

It’s National Martini Day! Woo hoo! Does it get any more fun than this holiday? Well, maybe if it was National Wine Day, but I will take it :) I wanted to bring you a couple fun options to try this Fun Martini Day.

Traditional Gin Martini:
{Tried and True never fails}

2/3 oz. Gin
1/3 oz. Dry Vermouth
1 or 3 olives (never an even number) or lemon zest

Stir Gin and Vermouth and ice in a mixing glass. Never shake Gin, just stir. Strain and pour into martini glass. Place olives in drink or lemon zest on rim and serve.

The Bronx Martini:
{Did you know it stems from Philadelphia? Oh the city of Brotherly Love how you bring such wonderful things to us!}

1/2 oz Gin
1/4 oz Dry Vermouth
1/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
1 oz Orange Juice
Slice of Orange for garnish

Place all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice. Drain and pour in Martini Glass and garnish with a slice of orange.

The Flirtini:
{Is best known for its Sex and the City performance}

3 oz Vodka
1 oz Pineapple Juice
Splash of Champagne

Pour Vodka and Pineapple Juice over ice. Strain into chilled glass and top with a splash of champagne. Garnish with pineapple.

OK guys, that’s a mix! I hope you get a chance to celebrate at some point today!  Will you be sipping on a Martini today? What is your favorite type of vodka/gin drink?
